# Manage your developer company and team

> Update company details, invite teammates, assign roles, and hand over administration.

Use separate Developer Portal accounts for your teammates. A team invitation grants access to your developer company. It does not invite a Stora operator to connect or test an application.

## Before you start

Sign in to the [Developer Portal](https://developer.stora.co). You need the **Admin** role to change company details or manage team membership.

Members can use the portal for development, but they cannot administer the team or update the company profile. The **Admin** role is a developer-company role, not a staff role in a connected Stora operator.

## Update company details

1. Open **Settings**, then **Company profile**.
2. Update the company name, website, technical contact email, and marketing contact email as needed.
3. Select what you are building with Stora.
4. Click **Save changes**.

Keep the technical contact email current so Stora can reach the right person about your integration.

## Invite a teammate

1. Open **Team Members**.
2. Click **Invite member**.
3. Enter the teammate's **Full name** and **Email**.
4. Choose **Member** for development access or **Admin** if the teammate also needs to manage the company and team.
5. Click **Send invitation**.

The team list shows **Pending** until the teammate accepts the invitation. The teammate then completes their account setup, including [multi-factor authentication](https://docs.stora.co/2025-09/guides/developer-account-security.md).

If the invitation does not arrive, check the email address and ask the teammate to check their spam folder. Contact Stora if you need help sending another invitation.

## Change a role

1. Open **Team Members**.
2. Click **Edit role** beside the teammate.
3. Select **Member** or **Admin**.
4. Click **Save changes**.

At least one active admin must remain. The portal rejects a change that demotes the last active admin.

## Hand over administration

Before you demote or remove an admin who is leaving:

1. Invite the replacement if they do not already belong to the company.
2. Wait until the replacement has accepted the invitation and appears as **Active**.
3. Assign the replacement the **Admin** role.
4. Confirm that the replacement can access company and team settings.
5. Change the departing admin's role or ask another admin to remove them.

You cannot remove yourself. Another admin must remove your membership if you leave the company.

## Remove a teammate

1. Open **Team Members**.
2. Find the teammate and click **Remove**.
3. Confirm the removal.

Removing a member removes their membership of this developer company. It does not replace a credential review. If the teammate could access client secrets or tokens, review those credentials and replace or revoke them as appropriate.

For a member who has lost access to their authenticator, see [Request an MFA reset](https://docs.stora.co/2025-09/guides/developer-account-security.md#request-an-mfa-reset).
